While I am sitting on my sofa thinking of having bread and butter for my Saturday breakfast, I am sure you all shall have hunger pangs after you read the simple breakfast our Indian Cricket Team had on Day-2 of the Test match against England. The Indian team is giving their best at eating food as we all know how demanding the Test Series are.
The menu was shared on the official Instagram page of the Indian Cricket team, tagging all those who are deciding to eat 2 minutes Maggi noddles. Your starter menu might have bread and a glass of milk, but these lads had baked bread rolls with some Thyne soup( you might not pronounce it right!)
While you can sit and practice the pronunciation, the boys took down a good protein diet with stuffed lamb saddle followed by some exotic fish. The league did not end here, they had enough space for a less refined version of Indian khana with an English name. But chalo we are digesting!
The Indian team had to come to paneer and chicken, but with a poise. Up next was chicken lasagna with- mind you- Mediterranean vegetables followed by chicken and paneer tikka. The team might be taking revenge for the shirt waving incident as the next order was dahl and mixed vegetables along with Prawns in Marie rose sauce, mashed potatoes, basmati rice, corn and french beans.
I’ll take it slow because they did not. The desserts were simple at The Lord’s with only 4 varieties on the list: Apple pie and custard, dark chocolate and cherry cheesecake ending with fresh fruit salad and an ice cream selection (two scoops of Verka icecream please!)
While you take your time gaining conscious I’ll make my exotic bread toast with soft butter on it. Happy Saturday!
