Another day becomes a reason to celebrate with Day 14 of Asian Games. Leading ahead with a slight increase in the medal tally, we have reached to a total of 69. The weekend ended with a gold medal won by India’s Amit Panghal who defeated 2016 Olympic champion Hasanboy Dusmatov of Uzbekistan by the 3-2 in men’s Light Fly (49kg) boxing.
Apart from a boxing gold, the Indian pair of Pranab Bardhan and Shibnath Sarkar also won gold in men’s Pair Bridge event. By virtue of boxing and bridge golds, India’s gold medal now stands at 15.
Later in the day, India made sure to clinch the silver medal in women’s squash team event. Comprising of Dipika Pallikal, Johna Chinappa, Sunayna Kuruvilla and Tanvi Khanna, girl power nailed it yet again. India men’s hockey beats Pakistan 2-1 to win bronze in men’s hockey. At Jakarta and Palembang Games, India now has – 15 gold, 24 silver, and 30 bronze
