The season of enjoying Moongfali and Gajjak while cosying up inside a blanket is here. Ah, who doesn’t love winters? But get ready to stock up your wardrobe with heavy woollens this year. According to the MET Department Chandigarh, the city beautiful is expected to be colder this year than 2016.
According to Mr Surinder Paul, Director, MET Department Chandigarh; the mercury would dip lower this year during daytime and the sky is expected to remain overcast. The city would receive showers around 12-13 December following which the weather conditions would stay pleasant for a while. Later, the temperature is expected to get even lower.
The maximum temperature in the city on Thursday was 23°C while the minimum was 11°C.
